Commercial interiors, such as SPAs, should encourage guests to visit them. An important aspect, apart from the available attractions, is the interior style. The right atmosphere in the interior should be conducive to relaxation. The presented interior imitates an old Egyptian chamber. This is a perfect example of how modern buildings can have a unique, historical atmosphere.

Principles of Designing Small Spa Pools

Small spa pools are a great addition to homes, hotels, and wellness centers, offering relaxation and rejuvenation in an intimate setting. However, to fully enjoy their benefits, designing such pools requires careful consideration of various aspects, from location to material selection and technology.

Here are the key principles to consider when designing small spa pools:

1. Location and Layout

- Location Selection: The spa pool should be placed in a quiet part of the garden, terrace, or inside the house, away from noise and pollution. Ideally, it should offer a beautiful view and access to natural light.

- Accessibility: It is important that the spa pool is easily accessible, both from inside the house and from outside. Ensure convenient access and a relaxation area near the pool.

2. Size and Shape

- Compact Size: Small spa pools typically have compact dimensions, making them easy to fit into various spaces. Typical sizes are 2x2 meters or 2x3 meters, but they can be smaller or larger depending on the needs.

- Shape: The most popular shapes are rectangular, square, and round. The choice of shape should depend on the available space and aesthetic preferences.

3. Materials and Finishes

- Durable Materials: The spa pool should be made of durable, weather-resistant materials such as concrete, fiberglass, stainless steel, or teak wood.

- Interior Finishes: The interior of the spa pool can be lined with mosaic, ceramic tiles, natural stone, or special non-slip coatings to ensure comfort and safety.

4. Technology and Equipment

- Heating Systems: An essential element is the water heating system, which allows maintaining the optimal water temperature throughout the year. The most popular are electric heaters and heat pumps.

- Filtration and Disinfection: Filtration and disinfection systems (e.g., chlorine, bromine, or ozone) ensure water cleanliness and hygiene. Regular maintenance of these systems is important.

- Hydromassage: Many spa pools are equipped with hydromassage jets that provide relaxing and therapeutic experiences. It is worth considering adjustable power and direction of the water stream.

5. Safety and Comfort

- Non-Slip Surfaces: All surfaces around the pool should be non-slip to prevent accidents. Special mats or non-slip coatings can be used.

- Lighting: Pool lighting is crucial for safety and aesthetics. Underwater LED lights, edge lights, or ambient lighting create a pleasant atmosphere and ensure visibility.

- Covers and Shelters: Consider installing covers or shelters that protect the pool from debris and provide privacy and additional comfort.

6. Accessories and Personalization

- Seating and Loungers: Comfortable seating and loungers around the pool allow for relaxation and rest after a bath.

- Decorative Elements: Plants, decorative stones, water sculptures, or wooden elements can add character and style to the pool area.

- Audio and Multimedia Systems: For greater comfort and relaxation, audio systems can be installed, allowing you to listen to music while using the pool.

Designing small spa pools requires considering many aspects, from choosing the location and shape to applying the right materials and technologies. A well-designed spa pool not only provides relaxation and comfort but also enhances the aesthetics and functionality of the living space, improving the quality of life.
