Modernization and expansion of museum of weapons in Posen, Poland is a master thesis made at University of Technology in Posen, Poland. Before making design author Michal Konieczny made special analysis about surroudings, environtment, history of the existing building and rules about designing this type of objects. Building is continuation of existing Museum of Weapons which needs this type of investment. New part provides more space for exhibits and other rooms which existing museum doesnt have but needs. Main purpose was to design object which could refer to existing part of museum and surrounding park. It was gained by hiding new part under the ground like existing part which is a kind of fortress. Thanks to this author saved important park’s space and extended exhisting building. New part can accomodate military vehicles like tanks, trucks and airplanes as well. New part refers to existing but in modern style. Glass elevation reflects surrounding forest. Roof is a new public space where people can rest. in front of the building there is new square for museum’s events.
Project was exposed later in Museum of Weapons in Posen, Poland in 2016.
